Post-Season: All-Stars (Tournament)

What are All-Stars? All-Stars is a program to highlight top players from the spring season who are hand-selected to participate in and represent Bryan National in a post-season tournament against other leagues in the surrounding communities. Being selected for All-Stars is truly an achievement—these are players who have demonstrated outstanding overall performance both in gameplay and sportsmanship.

Why it's an Achievement: Players selected for an All-Star team or Special Games team will have a significantly higher level of commitment, receive higher-level instruction, and compete against other All-Star teams or Special Games teams.

Tournament Overview: The Little League International Tournament is the most widely known youth sports tournament in the world. There are six levels of tournament play in Little League Baseball® and five within Little League Softball®, with opportunities for players ages 8 to 16. The tournaments start at the District level, and teams must win their way to advance through the International Tournament. The 8- to 10-Year-Old and 9- to 11-Year-Old Tournaments culminate at the State Level, while the Little League, Little League Intermediate (50/70) Baseball, Junior League, and Senior League divisions all conclude at a World Series Tournament.

PRACTICE AND GAME EXPECTATIONS

All-Stars requires a total commitment to participate in the program, and it’s expected that all players attend every practice and scheduled game. We recognize that it can be a significant time commitment during the summer break, but it ensures non-forfeitures of games and, more importantly, a fun experience for every player and coach.

  • Practices will be scheduled and communicated by the coaches once teams are finalized. Please expect daily practice between Monday - Sunday during the post-season.

  • Game schedules have yet to be released; however, please plan for the first game during week 1

PLAYER AND COACH ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Each potential player and coach must complete a Post-Season Commitment Form to be considered eligible.

  • Players must have completed no less than eight (8) regular season games and be nominated by their coach to participate.

  • Proof of residency and school attendance requirement forms signed and submitted.

  • Medical release form and birth certificate on file during the tournament.

PLAYER & COACH SELECTIONS PROCESS

PLAYERS: Players for Bryan National All-Star teams are nominated and chosen by their Coaches based on their performance and sportsmanship in games during the regular season. The selection process may also include input from other 2024 BNLL coaches or other persons qualified based on their experience.

Players and parents will be notified via email by Tuesday, May 14, if they’ve been selected to participate. The email will include time-sensitive next steps for the players to complete.

COACHES: Team Managers/Head Coaches who finished first during the regular season will be selected to coach the All-Star tournament teams.

All Team Managers (Head Coach) and Assistant Coach candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered:

  • Must have been a Team Manager or Assistant Coach during the current Spring 2024 Season at BNLL

  • Must have all volunteer/background requirements completed, including required training videos

Selected players and coaches will be celebrated and announced to the broader league at our closing ceremonies on Friday, May 31.
